[edit] Get to know the group

The first step to join Hive13 is simply to show up to a few meetings and join our mailing list so you can get a feel for what the group is about, and so we can get to know you as well. Make sure you've read the Membership Details and the Hive13 Bylaws to understand the responsibilities that come with a membership.

[edit] Membership Application

Once you've decided you would like to join Hive13, come to a meeting and fill out a Membership Application. Turn it in to the Secretary.

[edit] Do I have to be 'nominated'?

Technically, someone is supposed to "nominate" you as a new member. In practice, this just means that someone has to to be willing to put their name on your application form agreeing that you would make a good member. In other words, as long as one existing member likes you, you can join!

[edit] Membership Fees

There are two options for payment of the monthly membership fee, and two possible tiers of membership. More details can be found at Membership Fees. These fees go to cover Hive13 expenses such as rent and other bills.

[edit] Liability Waiver

Every member must sign a Limit of Liability Form saying you won't hold the Space liable if you injure yourself or damage your property while working within the space or with tools and equipment provided by the space.
