Overview

big, 220v, 11CFM vacuum pump

This vacuum pump may be used for whatever project people want a vacuum pump for. It just needs a 240v 20amp plug to operate. Currently we have several of those in the space, one at the table saw, one at the big CNC, one at the big mill, one at the lathe, one at the jewelry bench, one at the glass bench, and one for the welding fume extractor.

It's worth noting that the manual for that vacuum pump recommends always using it in a well ventilated area, or with fume extraction, because the vacuum pump oil makes a fine hydrocarbon mist in the exhaust which is not healthy to breath. Also, if you plan to use it for a process that risks liquid or particles being sucked into the pump, you MUST use a resin trap and/or particle filter between your project and the pump (we currently have neither of those, you will need to buy them)

I bought fittings that can connect KF flanges, 1/8" NPT or 1/4" JIC 37° flare fittings (also known as AN4 fittings, or 7/16-18 thread 37° flare/tube fittings). If you need a different connection from those, you will need to buy your own ISO-KF NW25 flange adaptor to whatever fitting type you need
