Overview
Dell Laser Printer, Black and White only, 8.5" x 11" paper
As with all things Hive13, use it for hive stuff all you want, and for personal stuff as needed, but if you need to print a TON, please consider buying a set of ink cartridges and supplying your own paper. Also, if you don't need color or the wide format paper, please continue to use the laser printer, as it's cheaper to operate.
How To Connect
To use it, you must either be on the Hive13 wired network, or you must connect to the building "Tenants" wifi network with the Hive13 login info. In Windows, hit the windows key and type "Printers" and hit enter to bring up the printer settings dialog, and click "Add a Printer" and the new printer should show up as "Dell E310dw". add it, and you should be ready to go.
Consumables
Buy ONLY NEW OEM Dell toner and drum cartridges for Hive13 use. They are only a little bit more expensive, Hive13 can afford them, and it reduces our risk of damage due to remanufacture defects. Buy only the "High Yield" toner cartridges, they last way longer. Keep one spare of each on hand at all times, if you install the spare, tell the COO we need another to be purchased on the warden budget.
Hive13 keeps the paper tray full of 8.5" x 11" white copy paper. Members are responsible for providing any other sizes or types as needed.
