  • Quiet hours are 10:30pm to 7:00am
  • Liability waivers must be legible
  • Shared Liability, every member is a part owner of the hive, which means all of us are responsible for safety. If you see something dangerous, Wait till it's safe and help to correct it.
  • Broken things at the Hive? Red Tag them and post on Slack or Mailing List!
  • Missing consumables? Email Wardens@hive13.org
  • Hosting classes and workshops of any kind. Contact Will B for help organizing.

Project Updates

  • exit sign lights are out and batteries dead. Volunteer to fix this?
  • Server/Network Infrastructure move - Next Hive Work Day may move switches, might be on hold.

Business

Votes

  • Move Hive13 - Discuss today, vote on 2020-02-18
    • 7,000 Sq. Ft. for $2042/month (Current rent is $1400/month, raising to $1600/month March 1st)
      • 2701 Spring Grove Ave.
      • 3rd Floor, Cement Structure Warehouse
      • 170% of our current space
      • Lease would start March 1st, first 3 months rent free to enable transition
      • still negotiating buildout and exact details, but things are looking agreeable
    • $15,000 budget to move
      • $2k for moving machines
      • $6k electrical buildout
      • $4k wall/space buildout
      • $3k kitchen (cabinets, counters, sink)
    • Move to be incremental
      • first month buildout of spaces and infrastructure
      • then 2 weeks per main area to pack, move, and get operational in new space, minimize downtime for any equipment
        • Wood Shop
        • Metal Shop
        • FabLab
        • Lounge & Kitchen
        • General Area and Member Storage
      • Need volunteers to form teams to champion each area's move and setup
      • While we can afford this move, Donations of both effort and money will make things much easier
        • Please reach out to employers, relatives, etc. and see if anyone is interested in helping us through this exciting transition
        • Several members of leadership have bumped up their memberships to cornerstone members ($100/month), if anyone is financially able to do this as well, it would be greatly appreciated
