Housekeeping

  • Noise Curfew - Quiet hours are 10:30pm to 7:00am.
  • Purgatory - A/B system, read the signs for status
  • Liability waivers must be legible.
  • Shared Liability, every member is a part owner of the hive, which means all of us are responsible for safety. If you see something dangerous, Wait till it's safe and help to correct it.
  • Broken things at the Hive? Missing consumables? E-mail wardens@hive13.org to report them.
  • Hosting classes and workshops of any kind. Contact Will B for help organizing.
  • Safety - Make everyone aware of all of the exits and fire extinguishers.

  • Speak up if you made progress on:
    • Router Table
      • Anyone willing to build drawers?

      • Two new ones hooked up
      • Do we want the old one moved into the wood shop?
    • Sand Blaster
      • Door needs sealing
      • Media Hopper needs sealing
      • Can media be swapped with current hopper configuration?

      • Rack up, what's next?

    • Roland CAMM 3 PNC-3000
      • Operational, but needs a few finishing touches
        • Need a Linux/Raspberry Pi wizard's help with getting Dumpstore reliably connected to upload files and to help getting various G-Code senders updated/installed
        • Need to make sheet metal covers for headstock and electrical panel
        • Needs calibration
        • Needs a cabinet/cart and enclosure/curtain to contain chips

  • New sewing machines demo after meeting - See Lisa in the lounge.
  • What's it worth if sold?
    • Gigabot - Bought for $2k
    • Shapeoko - Was a donation from Inventables, roughly $2k value when new
    • Small Laser - Was group-funded with a goal of $5,410, can't find actual purchase price in Hive13 history on the wiki or mailing list
