Rules

Covid-19 Protocols

  • The following are mandatory for all members, guests and others entering the Hive13 makerspace.
  • Wear a mask at all times in the 2701SG building, even if you have been vaccinated or are otherwise immune to COVID
  • Sign in at the front inner entrance – This will allow us to contact trace.
  • Maintain social distancing
  • Wash your hands frequently and thoroughly
  • Sanitize surfaces you come into contact with. Utilize the PPE station
  • Stay away from Hive13 for the prescribed periods of time if you have COVID-19, have come into contact with someone who has COVID-19 or have been in a high risk situation or otherwise feel ill
  • Consider coming in at slow times, if you can

Please keep in mind - we're responsible for the cleanliness of the space. Please sanitize areas you've been in before leaving and focus on high touch points (light switches, door knobs, etc)

Building Alarm

  • Hive13 Members have 24/7 access to the Hive13 space.
  • The 2701sg building General Business Hours are from 6 am to 10 pm seven days per week.
  • After 10 pm the 2701 Building Alarm is Active.
    • From 10 pm to 6 am Hive13 members must enter and exit the RFID controlled Huenefeld Company door and use the front stairs to reach the third floor.
      • There are ALARM MOTION SENSORS outside the stairwell on the first floor –
      • DO NOT go on the first floor loading docks, take trash to the compactor or use the elevators.
  • If you leave the stairwell and trigger the alarm the Police will be called. There will be a $100 fee.
  • The alarm will result in loud noises. It is not a silent alarm.
    • Plan Ahead – Move material between the hours of 6AM and 10PM

When you're leaving

  1. Follow the Shutdown Procedures.

The Fridge

  • If you don't want someone to eat or throw away your food or drinks, label it clearly. There is a label maker in the drawer.

Trash

  • Junk Rules
  • Pick up trash laying around. Be careful though if you are not sure whether something is trash.
  • If the trash cans are full take the trash out, especially if there is food in there.
  • Trash can be taken to trash compactor on south side of the first floor. Recyclables can be set aside for the recycling area in the rear of the Hive.

Parking

  • Park in the marked spaces in the parking lot north of the building.
  • Please DO NOT park at the dock doors unless you are actively loading or unloading material.
  • Street parking is generally free and available in front of the building on Spring Grove Ave.
