Housekeeping

  • Noise Curfew - Quiet hours are 10:30pm to 7am.
  • Shelf X is up for grabs. New stuff goes on Shelf X.
  • Liability waivers must be legible.
  • Broken things at the Hive? Missing consumables? E-mail wardens@hive13.org to report them.
  • Hosting classes and workshops of any kind. Contact Will B for help organizing.
  • HIVE Decoration. If you have an art project idea bring it up on slack / mailing list / contact Will B

Old Business

  • CTO Election coming soon(tm) Drew Kirkman was nominated as replacement CTO. We need to have a membership vote to make it official.
  • HIVE Projects (ask if anyone has updates on something, only need to talk about it if info is volunteered)

  • Books by the Banks (large book fair downtown) is happening October 26th 10:00am - 4:00pm. Brad Walsh is leading the event. He's getting details and organizing the group. Learn to Solder booth, could use up to 6 people to rotate throughout the day.

Old Business

  • CTO Election coming soon(tm) Drew Kirkman was nominated as replacement CTO. We need to have a membership vote to make it official.
    • Expect this to happen in the next couple weeks
  • HIVE Projects (ask if anyone has updates on something, only need to talk about it if info is volunteered)
    • Gigabot -
      • no update
    • Shapeoko - expect a running machine in the next week or so
      • We will need to find a new home
      • Consider adding a hood / lid for dust collection
    • metal shop improvements -
      • the green mill will be worked on in the next week or two

      • added some hoses / reels over the weekend

    • Lasers
      • Big laser
        • It isis CLEANer. The lab has been cleaned (Thanks cleaning Elves!)
        • Items were purchased over the weekend
        • Mirrors and components have been cleaned and re-coated
        • Parts to arrive between 9/10 - 9/24
        • Wiring and diagrams to be figured out in the next week
        • There are funds for new controller, see mailing list for additional info
      • Little Laser
        • Grbl has been configured and ready to go
        • Brad is working on 1-page instruction sheet
        • Ralph will offer group training for those who are already certified on large laser
