  • Update on funding efforts for a Cincinnati Council of Makers by UMA - Urban Manufacturing Alliance
  • COO report
    • "Monster spreadsheet" has changed significantly to accommodate the new approach to budget reporting
      • It's going to be a work in progress for a while
      • Cleanup and making it much more accessible is the next major step
    • Spy camera input from wardens
      • Most wardens have now contributed
  • Hive computers are getting scarse
    • We've had three requests for computers (laptops) in two weeks
    • The remaining laptops are in so, so shape

Area/Warden Reports

  • March Wardens meting
    • Lisa Crump asked to lead it and did an outstanding job
  • Woodshop
    • Automatic dust collection for the table saw is getting to be an urgent need.
      • Project has been given priority
  • Laser
    • The big laser seems to be back to being fully functional
      • Massive thanks to Dave Velzy and Brad
  • Machining
    • Brad is back to making major progress on LathYBoy

Thoughts on the recent thefts

  • Hive laptops now have multiple labels, top and bottom
    • A minimal step but at least a step
    • A few have been secured (locked up)
  • We need to stop assuming that nothing could or would ever happen
  • Members should be advised not to be forgetful about any expensive items, like laptops
    • Also to keep an eye out for potential concerning behavior (moving laptops around)

Parking Lot for carry over assignments

- All leadership: start thinking about how we should improve vote procedures. Study the new financial stuff to get acquainted with it.

- Paul Vincent: organize/help work on setting up a wiki workday

- Kate Cook: Schedule next Dungeon Masters meeting

- Jim and Kevin: moving forward with repair budget procedure talk to find a resolution

- John and Paul: continue to lead the effort about vote procedure improvements with a thread in Slack/committee/whatever you want to call it

- Chris Davis: find out more about the intern program at DAAP

- Jack: continue work with Jim on getting banking details imported into Redbubble

Classes & Certification

- Kate will reschedule the short class on "How to structure a class for HIVE13"

Lease negotiations update

- Chris and Velzy met with current landlord—they sent the "updated lease".

- They're ready to play out their part on our current lease

- We need more member storage so that might be part of the build out

- Lets get it cleaned before the summer bakes the dirt and cigs into the floor

- Velzy started moving things around and shelves need to be moved between

- Dungeon cleanout:

   - We need to do a blast to the leadership to do the dungeon cleanout

   - March 11th dumpster thing fell through because of... other things we're doing
