Hive13 CNC Roadmap
General plan
Anywhere from just toying around to full-scale Fab Lab.
RepRaps
Use MakerBot to make Mendel. Use Mendel to make more RepRaps.
Routers
DIY CNC Router is first generation of routing/cutting/milling CNC. The plan is to make more improved models.
Scaling up
We would also like to eventually build a larger CNC that could cut a 4'x8' piece of plywood.
Evolution
Another general goal is to use early generation CNC machines to build future machines.
Hive13 Custom Designs
- DIY CNC Router and Hive13 Stepper Motor Driver Board are both unique (although derivative) designs. The DIY CNC Router design is intended as a learning experience. The Hive13 Stepper Motor Driver Board design is intended to be reusable in many CNC projects and it is our intention to share it, reuse it in mulitple projects and make it available to others.
