The wired network at the hive has evolved in many stages.

Desired Ethernet runs

  • Lounge - one up top for Pi, one on south wall
  • Original WAP location to have WAP put back

Switch Port Assignment Configuration

  • Ports 1 & 2 are LAG 1, native VLAN 1, trunk mode (for Dumpstor)
  • Ports 3 & 4 are trunk mode, native VLAN 1, allowed VLAN 13 and 84 (for the WAPs)
  • Ports 5 & 6 are trunk mode, native VLAN 1, allowed VLAN 84 (for Orwell)
  • Ports 7 & 8 are LAG 2, native VLAN 1, allowed VLAN 13 and 84 (for colony)
  • Ports 9-38 are VLAN 1 (for general Hive network).
  • Ports 39-48 are VLAN 84 (for Cameras).
