Agenda - Old Business

  • THE T-SHIRTS WILL BE ADDRESSED SO HELP ME
    • we're getting good pricing
    • should probably say thank you once we get them printed
    • PICKING DESIGNS
      • limited batches for Hive13 Designs
        • get em printed
        • give to members
        • be done
        • can always be done again (i.e. a different design, can also rerun designs)
    • lots of process in this space is contingent on the first run but probably quarterly afterwards depending on how well the first run goes
      • need to select the design
        • goofy, "people want to wear it"
        • but don't want to debate designs for 2 hours
        • Kostas' fav is the "Hi i make _____ at Hive13"
    • Kostas will be posting how we will be doing tshirts in outreach
    • should bring the tshirt conversation into #outreach rather than keeping conversation in #t-shirt channel
    • tshirts would be nice way to start the quarter with!
    • how does front AND back printing effect price?
    • final statements
      • april launch date for first round of shirts
        • this first round will help establish process and what we should do
      • cadence of 1 tshirt run a quarter (tentative)
      • design selected by Feb 28
        • allows for march correspondence on printing
        • will not launch on April 1
        • announcement on april 2nd
      • april 5th tuesday meeting on opening up orders & discussion
  • Honeycombs - interviews with folks about what they're working on and doing around the Hive
    • new Logitech 920s Webcam
      • we can now record in 1080p
    • since we have the tools...
      • we should start organizing this and contacting people
      • start scheduling, etc.
    • scheduling to start this month
    • need to find interesting people and topics
    • should we consider inviting previous Tuesday speakers to come back and talk to us about it?
    • Kate will be our first guest to talk about the Ficus!

Agenda - New business

  • PARADES??
    • they're happening this year (apparently)
    • blink is happeningggggg
      • does anyone have connections to blink? can't seem to get in contact
    • Pride parade is a great opportunity
      • we have options!
        • booth? learn to solder?
          • maybe a different craft
          • $200 booth fee (tentative)
          • maybe PTDR
        • the parade itself
          • parade route is pretty walkable
          • bikes, skates, blades, moonshoes, soap shoes, heelys... all kinds of options!
      • Pride13 tshirts??!
    • This is the year Hive13 breaks out of it shell and becomes a member of the larger community! :)
    • blink and pride are great opportunities to show that we're real people and an inclusive group of makers
      • like a newly single person on the prowl! 🐅
    • should consider looking at potential events that are out there, and then be selective on which events we want to be a part of
      • both to do the ones people of the hive want to do AND also get cost estimates for each one
